How we handle privacy

The tools run in your browser. When you test a password, a microphone, a camera, or format a JSON file on ToolPage, the input stays on your device. We don't see it. We don't upload it. We don't store it.

Where a server is needed — "What is my IP" and "DNS lookup" — we explain exactly what is sent and why (see "What the tools do with your input" below).

The site itself loads three third-party scripts (analytics, ads, and engagement tracking) which are described in "Third-party scripts" below. These apply to the pages, not to the tool logic.

What we collect

• Aggregate traffic analytics via Plausible — a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics tool. It tells us which pages are popular. It does not identify individual visitors.
• Engagement signals via RegenInsite, our own first-party engagement tracker, used to understand which tools people actually use so we can prioritise improvements.
• Ad-serving data via Google AdSense — see the "Advertising" section below for what Google may collect.
• Standard web server logs. Our server logs IP addresses and requested URLs briefly for security and debugging.

What the tools do with your input

• Password strength checker. Runs entirely in your browser. Your password is never sent to our server and never stored.
• Microphone test & camera test. Media stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded or recorded. The stream stops when you close the page or click stop.
• JSON formatter, UUID generator, QR code generator, text diff, browser diagnostic. Input is processed in your browser and never transmitted. We don't see what you paste.
• What is my IP. Your public IP is read from the request you make to our server and returned to you. We don't store it beyond the standard server log mentioned above.
• DNS lookup. Domain queries are sent to Cloudflare (and Google as a fallback) using DNS over HTTPS. Your browser talks to those providers directly; the result is displayed in your browser.
• Ping / latency check and Connection quality. These measure response times to public endpoints (Google, Cloudflare, GitHub). Only standard request metadata is sent.

Third-party scripts

These scripts are loaded on every page of the site. They are separate from the tool logic — the tool pages do not send your input to any third party.

• Plausible Analytics (cookieless, aggregate page views only) — plausible.io.
• Google AdSense — displays ads and may set cookies and collect data for ad personalisation in line with Google's policies. See Google's ad policies and privacy policy.
• RegenInsite engagement tracking — our own first-party tool for anonymous engagement signals across the site.

Cookies

ToolPage does not set its own cookies. Plausible is cookieless by design. Google AdSense may set cookies for ad delivery and personalisation, subject to your browser settings and any consent choices required in your region.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings, or more broadly at aboutads.info.

Controller

ToolPage is operated by AI-Regenesis Ltd. For UK / EU GDPR purposes, AI-Regenesis Ltd is the data controller for any personal data processed through the site.
